*Checks watch*

Holy crap, maybe I should actually write a post, huh? After all, that's why I have a freaking blog.

I just got through reading Richard Matheson's "Earthbound" and the Tao Te Ching. Both were excellent works, inspiring at that too. The Tao Te Ching had some moving passages in there, worth reading aloud if you can.

As for my writing, I've lost interest in my current project (but knowing me, I'll find interest in it again) and have resorted to writing a long-buried idea about two characters of mine that star in two different novels that meet up and solve a murder. I don't know, I can never shake off my mystery streak, no matter how hard I try.

I used to want to be a mystery writer, thanks to obsessive reading of Nancy Drew and (later) James Patterson. I gave up on it a few years ago, but I find myself gravitating back to it (it doesn't help that I'm now reading Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie).

Take note of this kids: when you write and try out genres, never abandon them forever. Trust me, they'll come back in some form.

Bye for now, I'm rocking out to Editors' "Munich".

Regards,
Lindsey
