Other news I've been sitting on...

 and also forgot to bring up as well!

• About two weeks before I got the "yes" from my now-current job, my sister also got a "yes" from a new employer as well! I won't go into super detail about exactly what it is, but it's pretty much her dream job! It does require her to live in another city, so she's no longer close by. And with her and my schedules being different, we just text and play the occasional Minecraft to catch up. I miss her, but I'm also so happy for her.

• My parents are going to sell the home next year, around springtime. So yeah, goodbye to my childhood home. The very home I've lived in since the day after I was born up until mid-September. Word is that a one of our neighbors' children may buy it so they can be close to family. I hope so, I rather have someone I know and trust live in my old home. It's weird, I don't think of it as mine anymore, yet I don't want just anyone to have it. 

So that's pretty much it. It's big stuff, very big. 2015 was a great year for my family and I. At this rate, 2016 is set to be just as awesome!

MAJOR LIFE NEWS

First off, before I announce the news, I want to say that I'm so sorry for such a long silence on this blog. Training and the job are mainly the reason here, but I have since got comfortable with the new-ish schedule.

And now... the big news. (apologies in advance for the shouting)

And now for something completely different...

I have a job interview tomorrow for a neighborhood periodical. I got the call for an interview the same day I wrote my entry on the worries I had on the job searching. Funny, huh?

I'll let y'all know how it goes. And yeah... just like with all past, present, and future jobs, I do not discuss specifics here for a myriad of reasons (both privacy and personal ones). I hope y'all understand.

Hope you (see: those who are currently looking for a job also) have the same good luck as I do. We all need it.

Oh Lord, I'm gonna do it.

That's right, eveyrbody. Count this as my hat in the ring. While I'm working on Invisible, applying for graduate school, and generally suffering through the retail holiday season; I am going to participate in my very first NaNoWriMo.

I have wanted to do it for years and this time seems like a good chance. It is unknown at this point whether this was a good idea or not. Time will only tell.

Finally, an update on Invisible

I finished Part 2 and beginning Part 3. It took forever, because I was getting worried over little things that can be easily resolved with "it's a first draft". And now, it also wants a fourth part. Why, Invisible, why? You're already a long-ass novel thing!

Ahem. Anyway... if I get 1,000+ words done before I head to bed, I'll take the day off and read until my mid-shift at the bookstore.

Or I get Raptured. Whatever happens. /lulz
