Ever since I wrote my last post back in December, about how to react to the Trump presidency (which seems to be getting to a new level of nightmarish as days pass...), I've been conspicuously absent from this blog since.
Honestly, I cannot even begin to put into words why I haven't posted since then. But I will say that a lot of things happened in that span of time that changed the trajectory of this year. A series of events that I am not ready to indulge just yet, but I assure they will be elaborate in their telling.
Until that time comes, the blog is coming to yet another pause.
This is not permanent, this is not goodbye.

Is This Really the First 2015 Post on Here? Good Lord.
It's been a long time since I last wrote on here. No end-of-the-year lists or anything else. To be honest, I was considering putting the blog on a hiatus or even shutting it down for good. The funny thing is, I am still considering that. I'm not sure what I am doing on here anymore. Now that my time is being, understandably, taken up by my job and whatever else I can squeeze into my free time, I have to make a lot of changes to what I do on a daily basis. I spend less time checking email and other fun websites, I don't even shop that much anymore. I honestly don't have the time.
And now, here comes the big question: should the blog be the next cut? It takes less than a couple of hours a week to write a few entries, schedule them, and be done. But what is it all for? I know I have a scant audience (though, whatever audience I have, I do appreciate you all very much). But is my heart still into it? The answer: honestly, I am not so sure. It's hard for me to gauge right now.
I feel like I'm not putting out any interesting content, more repeating myself about not writing things and wasting time doing things I don't need to be doing. That can get boring after a while. So, I have to give all this a long think. Do I want to continue Musings of a Frustrated Lady Writer? And if I do, should I specialize my content? And if I don't want to continue the blog, do I leave it up as an artifact or delete it? Should I continue business as usual and write whatever I damn well please since this blog is really for me at the end of the day?
And also, let's be real here: if I decide to keep the blog, it's time to call it for the end-of-the-year lists. I may not make one up for 2014 since it's already near the end of February and releasing something now seems pointless. I honestly never enjoyed doing these because I'm not that good at keeping up with current releases and because I am saving up for something REALLY BIG later this year, sadly my book and music purchases have to take the back seat.
And I do mean it: no more end-of-the-year lists regardless of what decision I make. If I find an awesome current release, I'll share it as soon as I experience it.
This is the beauty of writing, my friends: you write what's in your heart and mind. Once you do that, you look it all over and the answer becomes clear.
...
Yeah, I think this blog ain't ready to be retired.

Sidelined by illness (again!)
Over two weeks ago, my sister was nursing a nasty cold (it sidelined her enough for her to miss a few days of school) and I was taking care of her, along with driving my mom to the courthouse for jury duty. Then around the 3rd of this month, I started to feel a little off. I canceled my blood donation appointment and was struck with a cold. By the next day, it spread to my chest and gave me a nasty, deep cough along with a roller-coaster fever. When I woke up today, I had enough. Nothing I was taking was working at all and I wasn't getting any better. I went to the health clinic and found out that I have mild bronchitis. Thanks to this discovery, I'm now on medicine that is actually doing something. I'm not coughing as hard anymore, thank God. Today is the best I've felt in a week.
Everyone at work was pretty worried about me. I had to call in sick twice, and when I did show up for the two other shifts, I was allowed to go home early. And here I am, trying to earn money for some big events! This wasn't helping! Plus, I hate calling in sick. It's like "well, I'm standing, I should be okay". But the fever worried me, plus I don't want to spread this to my co-workers. Geez Louise, I'm not a jackass!
Either way, to those who were wondering where the hell I've been... here's your answer.

Whoa, where are the entries, y'all?
Not really the readers' responsibility for providing me with the content in order to stick to my schedule of MWF, isn't it?
So far, some really interesting things have occurred. For one thing, I pretty much refuse to drink caffeinated beverages. They tend to make me sleepier than they should. Atop that, since I'm the picture-perfect writer, coffee has the complete opposite effect also and usually don't drink it. If given a Coke, I would probably have it, but I don't miss it.
I also picked up a new hobby: bookbinding. So far, three out of the four items I made turned out very well. I would post pictures, but it's getting late so it'll be put off until later.
I got back into Invisible, but stopped again only due to my own silliness. It's going pretty good and I hope it may be completed in mid-July, at least that's what I'm aiming for.
Nothing much else going on, other than the usual boring things (e.g. waiting for my new glasses, waiting for my new license, etc.). And so I go... until next time.

Hang onto your hats, kids!
Dan Brown's releasing a new book.
Despite the fact that I have no interest in his work anymore, I might take a peek at the new one.
~
Oh, yes. Update. Hmm. Things are well. Sorta. It's just the last few weeks of school. I have a paper I need to begin (and finish in about a week), a final portfolio, and two finals to fret about.
No writing, but listening to all my music again. That's another good thing about getting a new computer: racking up new play counts. So far, "Houses in Motion" ranks as the most-frequented song.
Lots of reading, though.
I leave you, wandering around my music collection...
